About this collection

This page collects mathematical notes whose main proof arguments were generated using AI systems. My collaborators (where applicable) and I make these notes available because their mathematical content may be useful, but we do not consider our contributions to their development sufficient to claim authorship. I maintain this collection as curator rather than author.

Each note records its origin, substantive human contributions, and the extent of mathematical checking undertaken. These are separate matters: AI generation does not by itself establish or refute correctness, and inclusion in this collection does not imply a level of verification beyond that explicitly stated for the individual note. Unless otherwise indicated, the notes have not undergone journal peer review.

Contributions of other researchers and relevant prior work are acknowledged in the notes. Corrections, missing references, and information about independent verification are welcome. Revised versions will be dated, with a record of substantive changes.

When referring to an item, please cite its title, version, date, and persistent address. My name may be included as curator, but should not be listed as the author of the mathematical results.

Notes

[3] Translative covering via additive combinatorics and discretization

An elementary extension of the Rogers–Zong translative covering estimate, using additive combinatorics and lattice discretization. Recovers Gorodzha's illumination bound and gives an upper bound with exponential base 3 for the covering index of arbitrary convex bodies.

[2] An improved upper bound for Borsuk's partition question

A further exponential improvement, with a claimed base below 1.166374, using a common self-dual cone, Gaussian transport, and matrix constraints on Hermite moments. Includes a Python program for the numerical certificates.
